ColdFusion 9, codename centuar is in development and looks to be feature rich from what people have disclosed. Thats all good, and Im looking forward to it, but there are some other things I hope they are working on for ColdFusion outside the product. These things are lacking and have been for some time.
1. Some decent online documentation, perhaps adopt the Flex style docs or similar.
2. An online bug tracking system where you can see bugs, log bugs and track bugs, using JIRA like Flex does would be great also.
3. A heap of marketing, with the cool new features and CF getting good press at the moment, the timing is great for Adobe to invest in the product.
If Adobe dont have the time / money to do 1 & 2 then they should hand it over to the community to manage.

Adobe have already promised to provide a CF bugbase on bugs.adobe.com (at CFUnited IIRC) - they just need to do it
The open bug db is coming. I am partly to blame for the delay but it is coming soon...that's all I'll say...
I agree, more press coverage is badly needed and the likes of Adobe have the clout to push it far more than Allaire or Macromedia did.
I'd also like to see them revisit the reporting tool... with a handful of extra facilities it could make huge inroads against Crystal which is rapidly losing it's way.
@Dave
I agree. Unfortunatly the ReportBuilder will not be updated for ColdFusion 9.
I actually wont be suprised if they just stop updating it.
It's actually just JasperReports and you can use iReport.
@Dale Yes, I was aware it is Jasper Reports underneath. Sadly, JasperSoft have an incredibly bizarre licensing scheme that means you have to license it on blocks of 30 installs and costs way more than even ColdFusion Enterprise... completely unworkable for individual customers. I did get the impression from talk on the beta forums that the Report Builder should be picked up again in the next version. I'd be happy if they'd just give us an API to query CFR files or even just unencrypt the CFR files and let us mine the XML for the required info ourselves.
